This Inauguration Holy Mass of the Holy Spirit is to commemorate the beginning of the new session 2024/2025, Committing all Staff, Students, Parents and College Community into the hands of the Holy Spirit seeking for his guidance and protection in all activities carried out by the College.
Below is the reflection by the Provost of the College;
Theme: Guided by the Holy Spirit
As we stand at the threshold of another academic year, 2024/2025, in this hallowed institution, St. Augustine College of Education, Akoka, Yaba, our hearts are filled with gratitude to God for His immeasurable blessings upon us. We gather here today to invoke the guidance and blessings of the Holy Spirit upon all our endeavors throughout this academic journey.
We beseech the Holy Spirit to illuminate the minds of our Proprietor, Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students, empowering them with wisdom, knowledge and understanding. May His divine light dispel ignorance and foster a culture of intellectual curiosity and critical thinking. We pray that the Holy Spirit will inspire us to strive for excellence in all our academic pursuits, to embrace challenges with courage and to persevere with determination.
We implore the Holy Spirit to increase the enrollment of our College, attracting dedicated and talented individuals who are eager to learn and grow. May His grace draw students from all walks of life, fostering a diverse and inclusive community that reflects the richness of our nation.
Furthermore, we seek the protection of the Holy Spirit over all our programs and activities. May His divine shield safeguard us from harm, guiding our steps and illuminating our path. We pray for the success of our academic endeavors, research projects and community outreach initiatives. May the Holy Spirit bless our efforts and grant us the wisdom to make a positive impact on society.
As we embark on this new academic year, let us commit ourselves to living according to the values instilled in us by this institution. May we strive to be compassionate, respectful and responsible citizens, contributing to the betterment of our Community and Nation.
Let us remember that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, all things are possible. May His divine presence inspire us to reach for new heights, to overcome obstacles, and to fulfill our God-given potential.
With faith and hope in our hearts, we entrust this academic year to the loving care of the Holy Spirit. May His blessings be upon us all. Amen.
