2024 ANNUAL SEMINAR FOR TEACHERS
THEME: “MEETING THE LEARNERS WHERE THEY ARE”

VENUES: ST. GREGORRY’S COLLEGE AND OUR LADY OF APOSTLES SECONDARY SCHOOL, YABA RESPECTIVELY.
The College Marketing and Publicity Committee in conjunction with the College management conducted a INTERCOLLEGEIATE SEMINAR for secondary school teachers on Monday & Tuesday, 2nd & 3rd September, 2024 at 10am in two venues for each day; St. Gregorry’s College, Obalende, Lagos and Our Lady or Apostles Secondary School, Yaba.
For the First Conveyance, all Catholic schools located on the island conveyed at St. Gregorry’s College, Obalende, Lagos. This was held on Monday, 2nd September 2024.
After the accreditation was done, the host gave their welcome address, welcoming everyone to their premises.
This Seminar had three topics taken by well-known educators who knows their onions. These topics are.
The First Paper “Teaching in A Digital Age” by Ebenezer Obideyi, Ph.D. A Lecturer in St. Augustine College of Education, Akoka, Arts and Social Sciences Education Department.
The Second Paper “Equity, Diversity and inclusion in 21st Century teaching and learning for Catholic Secondary Secondary Schools in Lagos Archdiocese” by our able Provost, St. Augustine College of Education, Akoka. Rev. Fr. Vincent Olofinkua, Ph.D.
The Third Paper “Codes of Ethics of the Teaching Profession in Nigeria” by Sunday Oyerinde Fabode, Ph.D. Masters in Social Studies and Director of Philosophy in Political Science. Also, a Lecturer in Arts and Social Sciences Education Department; St. Augustine’s College of Education, Akoka.
We had Two Hundred and Forty-Five (245) educators (teachers) present at this Seminar.

We had Three Hundred and Thirteen (313) educators (teachers) present at this Seminar.
According to their evaluation review gotten from our evaluation link sent to all participants at the two venues, they were overwhelmed and thankful for such a well packed event to enrich them effectively. They were grateful and wish that this seminar comes in at least twice in a session to enlighten and strengthen teachers as they make effort in becoming better educators. In agreement, they never regretted attending this seminar.
We the management sincerely appreciate ALL our participants for coming and honoring our invitation. We hope to see us becoming great educators who would change the world by educating our learners with sound knowledge.
Certificates of Participation were also shared immediately the seminar was over with pictures taken.
