The Diploma in Catechesis Programme commences its first physical class today, Saturday, 17th of April 2021.

The Catechetical Department commences her 24 Months Distance (online) and contact classes Diploma Course in Catechesis which 60 applicants, inclusive of parish catechism teachers as well as individuals seeking adult faith formation were present today.

The Deputy Provost, Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Vincent Olofinkua gave an opening prayer and a warm welcome speech to all as they applauded with thanks.

The day kicked off with a brief demonstration on the College website designed and developed by the Software Developer team from IDYLLIC DIGITECH SOLUTIONS   led by Mr. Adeyinka Okegbemi,  the Senior Software Developer, on how to log on to the College’s website, set up their email address which would be used for their online classes, one on one virtual interaction with lecturers, access to lecture notes and assignments, questions, and answers for interaction between the lecturers and the students. With the training and demonstration led by Mr Adeyinka, many were able to successfully log on with their email addresses and access the Virtual Classes demo session.

The day moved further by having their first physical class. They had two (2) lectures which were;

Introduction to Catechesis taken by Rev. Sr. Gladys. After a very short break of 10 minutes, the second lecture on Ecclesiology was taken by Mr. Chinedu.

The day ended with a closing prayer and a vote of thanks by the Deputy Provost, Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Vincent Olofinkua.
